46 Cathodic Protection Controllers by Solar Converters
We stock the Solar Converters, Inc.
cathodic protection controllers.
These state of the art controllers are used to control
the current injected into the ground bed to prevent the
rusting of iron and / or steel objects imbedded in the
ground.
This highly efficient and stable multiple control mode
unit switches automatically between various control
modes to maintain the proper structure potential as
the ground bed resistance changes with operating
conditions.
A highly effective impressed current solution which
provides environmental and economic protection
for underground structures such as pipelines and
storage tanks.
Coupled with a photovoltaic module, charge controller
and battery, these make a very cost efficient stand alone
system for protection of underground structures against
corrosion.

Application notes:
It is recommended that the unit be placed in a system that has
an LVD (low voltage disconnect) capability, unit shuts down
under 10 volt input.
When not operating in half cell voltage regulation, short half cell
sense to itself.
With the addition of simple transformer and diode bridge,
unit becomes a.c. powered.
